Bramble

Tachycardia found Bramble wandering as a hatchling in a patch of blackberries. It is clear to the clan that he is a rare and strange sort even for a parentless dragon, and until Catkin was found in the very same patch they thought he must be unique.

He never learned to speak Draconian, and his coatl-y humming doesn't make sense to the other coatls in the group, so no one can interpret for him. However, he does appear to understand what is being said around him. He carries out tasks very effectively, particularly when it comes to gathering herbs. He does not eat, but rather lays in the sun for a few hours each day with his wings spread out. Desiderata thinks he photosynthesizes like a plant.

Occasionally when startled or roughed up he leaks a dark, purply red fluid from his eyes, nose, mouth and gembond. It smells like blackberries and most of the dragons would guess that it tastes like them too, but nobody has attempted to eat it yet because gross.
