Daunter
Meet the Founders

Basilisk and Daunter both originated from the shadow territories so when they set off on their guardian journey they quickly met and became inseparable. They are very different dragons but despite their differences and their constant bickering they love eachother dearly. Daunter is a little rough around the edges. She is weariy of newcomers and hard on those that she is close to. Although she can be a shoulder to cry on in hard times she is more likely to give support in the form of tools to fix what ails you. When she and Basilisk adopted Asili she was at first troubled by the hatchling's precense. She was so strange and Daunter worried someone would come looking for her but they never did. Soon enough Daunter let go of her troubles and formed an unbreakable bond with Asili. A bond that she wasn't afraid to make with her guardian children who she knew would eventually leave her. Asili was a skydancer so surely she would stay. It broke Daunter's heart when Asili left and she refused to nest for a while afterwards. She instead chose to focus on running her clan smoothly. It was a bit of a shell shock when she did return, and with a new skydancer by her side. Daunter was so overwhelmed to see her daughter that she accepted Dain with open wings and has loved her son-in-law ever since. Though now she is harder on him then any dragon. She knows he has a lot to handle running the clan since she stepped down and caring for Asili. He does a good job but whenever he falters Daunter is there to pick up the slack despite being retired. Daunter is one of the only dragons staying in the clan that doesn't believe Asili is the 12th deity. Though she respects everyone's decisions she beleive's Asili is just very, very sick. That the stories she told combined with her sickness to create this fantasy in her head. This beleif is quite strange considering the one who first claimed Asili was a diety, Rayuna, is her best friend. When the Obelisks arrived Daunter was again weary. The more she learned about them though, the more they intrigued her. She had done what her gaurdian roots had told her to. She had gone on her journey, protected her charge, but as each of her children did the same, she hurt a little inside. Daunter didn't yet know what would make her happy but as a new species obelisks were looking to pave new roads, and so was she. When her first obelisk child decided to stay in that clan, she knew she had made the right decision. |
