“Get me the flower”, Mud had told her instead, snickering. “Get me the most beautiful flower in all the swamps! You’ll see then, you’ll see, if there is anything left to teach at all!”
Talamaku felt tired of all of this. The escape from her old clan, the travel through the outer parts of the boneyard, the search for the Many-eyed witch of the swamps – she was just so exhausted, so exhausted...
