She woke up. No she was born. She looked to her side. A creature was asleep. Her mother? On her other side, the egg next to her was rocking, her brother or sister. No concern to her, the night and the sound of waves were calling. She slowly, on weak newborn legs, made her way out of nest. Her mother would understand she knew instinctively. She also knew. Somehow, she knew she is the first daughter of the first daughter.
She will not disappoint.
The night was quiet.
The guards at different points in their patrols.
She made her way to the shore. A small boat was moored at the dock. Its calm rocking by the waves soothed her. She was tired. She wanted rest, but not before she reached the boat. She summoned strength and slipped onto the vessel, then under some warm cloth and slept.

The sun was bright as the cloth was thrown aside.
“Well, well,well what do we have here?” The brown and grey pearlcatcher in orange armor inquired.
“Drala, you have stow-a-way.” GTok called as his goblin moved close, sniffed then backed away.
“What?!” The blue wildclaw captain moved to his side.
He indicated the small imperial.
“GTok, she’s just a hatchling.” She leaned in close. Then stopped.
“Her eyes, are they glowing? No, no they’re not. My mistake, They just seemed to be.”
She hissed at the wildclaw. DralaFi recoiled and grinned.
“She’s a feisty one” Then back to her. “So, who are you dear?”
There was slight movement next to the young imperial.
A small shy water sprite emerged
from beside the stow-a-way.
“Seems she’s blessed.” GTok noted.
Drala mused. “Yes, and there is something else.”
“What?”
“Not sure yet. I’ll need to check with Ruyic when we get back to Lulungomeena.”
“So she stays?”
DralaFi nodded. “She stays. We’ll let the leaders handle this.”
“Daith will love that.” He smirked.
“If she is what I think she is, he’ll be just fine about her.”

Ruyic agreed with DralaFi’s suspicion
that the new comer was probably a descendant of
the Viking Lord Ragnar and Siren Lorelei.
He offered the young imperial names to be called.
After nearly a half hour, she agreed to the name of Shovann.
Which he said was close to the word that meant
Sea Tide in his home language.
Shovann was brought to Makani.
It was surmised that Makani’s wind sprite would be able to confirm and tell more about the young imperial’s origin.
Shovann stood nobly as the wind sprite spoke to the water sprite.
The sprite’s eyes widened as she turned to
Makani, and whispered excitedly.
“She’s the first daughter of Kara, who is the first born
of Lorelei herself. I must go find Grayswandir .
She should be trained by a water flight master.”
Makani, nodded her understanding and the sprite few off. Shovann looked up and smiled.
days had passed with her pestering AnlaShok and Kahu
about when she would be allowed to train.
Finally, Master Grayswandir had returned.
“Time?” She asked as he approached.
Greyswandir returned her smile, “If you are ready.”
