Rose, much like Nephrite, wasn't born into the clan, and was rather a young outsider welcomed in. But, their motives were different -- unlike Nephrite who didn't expect to join a different clan, Rose left hers to experience a fresh, new crowd who hasn't witnessed her talents yet. She originally lived a calm, uneventful childhood on the border of the Sunbeam Ruins. Since her neighbors weren't too excited by her charismatic personality and skillful dancing, she set out to achieve her dreams of living in the spotlight. So, after crossing between the Sea of a Thousand Currents and the Tangled Wood, she reached Xyrion's clan, when it was just beginning to flourish with life, after taking in Nephrite as a developing hatchling.
After being welcomed in with open arms, no one was quite willing enough to provide her with a permanent home, so she switched between den to den. Even though she struggled to settle down in a stable living space, she continued to practice and perfect her dances, growing more and more elegant with every step she took. When the clan's first event arrived, Rose was quick to sign up for entertainment. She knew she was ready, with every movement and pattern embedded into her mind. Once the show was over, and Rose finished the last of her ballet, the crowd was awed. Among the crowd was a charming Imperial, Nephrite, who was most impressed and struck by Rose's beauty. As she left her stage, Nephrite was one of the first to compliment her ability, and struck up a pleasant conversation. At last, Rose made her first close friend, who soon made her mate.
Rose lived with Nephrite, and had a single daughter, Smog. Even though she loved her life so far, Rose still felt rather lonely, as if her audience wasn't truly real. So, she set out to find a familiar. She went through many different creatures -- from Webwings to Noggles -- and the only one that could understand her was a young and gorgeous Sweetheart Swan that willingly abandoned its flock to spend the rest of its life with Rose. They grew to become friendly companions, until the swan couldn't stand being without Rose. Every concert and event, they performed with each other, side by side, entrancing their clanmates and entertaining the slowly growing audience.
