Nakia is the strongest and the bravest dragon in the clan. Or so all the hatchlings say, since to them she is the model warrior- a veteran of many battles, defender of the clan and a patient teacher in the arts of war. Armed with the legendary trident Ferregard, she sows fear and confusion in the hearts of her foes. Many a times Nakia stole a victory from the jaws of certain defeat and thus her legend grew from just a skilled fighter to a hero-dragon, clearly favoured by the Deities.
While not at war, Nakia helps to feed the clan with her hunting skills that are second only to her prowess in battle. She walks the hidden paths of the forests and coasts, her eyes watchful for the stirring of the prey among the foliage and between the waves. They say that nothing escapes her watchful gaze. She sits patiently, waiting for the moment to strike and when she does, she strikes true- her pray rarely has time to feel fear before it is dispatched. The bounty she brings into the clan has earned her respect of even the most hardened hunters and fishers. Although she prefers to hunt alone, she is more than willing to share her knowledge and give advice on where to find the best meat and the fattest fish.
Although she is immensely popular among her clanmates, in her private life Nakia is a quiet dragon, not often you would hear her speaking. She politely declines all invitations to social gatherings and activities, preferring her own company. She smiles gently but her refusal is always firm, implying that she is not going to change her mind. Many young dragons still wonder what is hidden behind that gentle and mysterious smile of hers.
