It's our experiences that make us who we are. Every little thing shapes us. Every event, every experience. No one sees the same thing in exactly the same way. We are all completely unique, in our brains. There never has been and never will be anyone who thinks exactly like you. That's the beauty of life. That is what makes our brains the most beautiful thing in the universe.

As a child Delian traveled to different clans with his mother Haxone. He always loved watching other dragons, their behaviors, motives and emotions. The way some dragons did things and reacted to situations differently.

One day in a Arcane clan he found a book about different flight and breed traditions. He started reading it and looked for more books about dragons. About how they work and what can push them.

He was quiet, calm and nice. He knew how to get people to do exactly what he wanted. He started to study how exposure to different environtments and behaviors affects hatchlings and adults. It was beautiful.

The wildclaw didn't care much for close friends. He had his books and the studies of the mind. The brain and its inner workings was one of, if not the most amazing and facinating thing to him.

If life was a game of chess, he was a chess master. Acting, understanding others and putting himself in their scales came easily to him. He kept stacks of books and always scribbled different interactions he saw or experienced and the behaviors of others and sometimes himself.

He started noticing more and more patterns and recognising them in others more and more easily. Dragons started surprising him less. The game was getting boring and it was time to find a better opponent.

Delian searched everywhere. Through the clans his mother took him to and everywhere else. No one was good enough. They were all so simple and understandable. So normal and boring. Until one day, he met him.

His name was Oyeely and he was so much like Delian and yet completely different.

They met in a clan deep inside The Southern Icefield. Oyeely was there with two other dragons who were looking after a few eggs. This in itself wasn't unusual, Delian knew a lot of dragons liked to have their hatchlings hatch in the same lands they grew up in. No, what was unusual was the presence of a third dragon and the odd liquids and trinkets that surrounded the eggs.

For two days Delian watched the spiral come over to the eggs, examine them, sometimes talk to the parents and jot things down in a giant book. He did it all with the ease of someone who knew exactly what they were doing. Most importantly Delian could see that same thirst of wanting to know simmering in the Shadow dragon's eyes.

One day when the spiral was once again looking at the eggs and writing things down Delian walked up to him, relaxed, but authorative, his face schooled in to a calm expression.

"Hello," he inclined his head.

"Hey.." he mumbled distractedly, scribbling something down in near unintelligible writing.

"What are you doing?"

"Experimenting..." he whispered and got closer to one of the eggs, which oddly enough seemed to be gaining an odd red-ish shade.

This got Delian's attention. He, after all, loved to experiment.

Oyeely soon explained to him that alchemy affects dragons, especially eggs and hatchlings in the most curious of ways. In turn Delian told him of how he too experiments, not with alchemy but with the brain. They started talking, sharing their experiments and creations. Delian was fascinated. Finally, he found someone who understood him, who surprised him.

Oyeely of course, like everyone had his own patterns and behaviors. But he was messy. Just when Delian thought he had him narrowed down he would do something that changed Delian's view of him again.

Oyeely didn't give much attention to the morality he had seen so many dragons follow. He watched dragons and was impulsive and careless. But then the next second he was planning every single step he took.

He acted and played with others just the way Delian did and hanging out with him for a few days was the most fun he'd ever had. Finally, the spsychologyst found someone worthy to play with.

After they each had to go back to their respective clans, they started exchanging letters and sharing notes on their experiments. Delian soon spent more time in Oyeely's clan and travelling with him than in his own home.

He fell in love with both the dragon's ideas, their games and the dragon himself.

That in itself surprised him. He never really connected with others. He watched others act like lovesick fools and sneered at them. He never though he'd be anything like that.

When he pushed Oyeely pushed right back. They came together like two pieces of a puzzle.

Delian's stuff crowded Oyeely's rooms. He started to teach Vick about the mind and Vick gladly learned and helped both him and Oyeely with their experiments. He hung out with Sebille and listen to her talk about her favorite books.

At some point Delian mostly stopped coming home. His home became a crowded room in a cave system and an even more crowded and messy store with a basement full of experiments. His family went from his mother, his father and her mother's mate to a slightly crazy alchemist and his apprentice who was almost like a son to both of them.

Oyeely brought home a shiny, nearly white egg. Delian sighed, shook his head and smiled fondly, as he knew, there was nothing else he could possibly do. He couldn't change the spiral's mind. He may as well let him play.

The hatchling was tiny and blue. She looked curious and smiled a lot. She wound around the legs of other dragons and tilted her head, melting everyone's hearts. Oyeely scribbled in his notebook and inspected the orbs placed in front of him.

The first time Delian walked in to her room, he wasn't expecting a tiny, blue ball of excited ridgeback to launch itself right at him. He looked at the hatchling, amused and brushed the tip of his tail over her head. She giggled and Delian blinked at her.

"We should name you. Hatchlings tend to do better when they have names."

Oyeely walked in. "I've been calling her Experiment."

"Darling... That's a horrible name."

"Well, if you're so smart, then you can name her."

"How about.. Sebille?" The wildclaw tilted his head.

The tiny ridgeback, running in circles around the two dragons looked up, squeeled and tilted her head to mirror Delian.

"Sebille it is.." Drawled Oyeely and lower his head to look at her, closely. "I wonder what she has in store for us."

He drew back up and looked at his mate, smiling like an excited hatchling.
