As the scion of a well-known and powerful crime Legitimate Business family, Vothoris learned from a young age how to tip the markets in his favor and "encourage" any competition to leave town. Though he could always charm others to get what he wanted, he desired magic that would bring his enemies under his full control. After countless hours of research and experimentation, Vothoris gained such an ability, but it awakened something in him that he had never experienced.

Guilt. Regret. A hollow heaviness that weighed on his heart, reminding him of the horrific things he and his family had done both in his lifetime and in their legacy.

He broke ties with his family and sequestered himself in his estate with his loyal bodyguard and his personal assistant, tirelessly looking for ways to compensate those that his family has hurt over the years. He still insists on only owning the finest things, and has rather questionable rules for employees working at his estate, but he is working hard to become a better man than his family raised him to be.
