Gemstone, also known as the Cursed Statue, is not a real dragon. It may seem like one from afar, but once you get closer and feel it's scales, you will only feel the rough texture of a statue. Gemstone is an endless wonderer with no clear destination in mind. It is not a dragon, so it does not need sleep or food. It doesn't even have feelings. Usually, it is a very docile creature. When provoke however, it goes into a violent rage, attacking the dragon that bothered it, nearly killing them. This is why many dragons fear it and run from it despite it being docile most of the the time.
 
With many other creatures that dragons don't know about, there are many legends and theories on what it is and how it was created. One says it was created by the creature known as Rune to test dragon kind. Others say it was created by a mad dragon who was messing with magic. Only 2 dragons know for sure how it was created.
