Bloodhunter

A "mindless killer" is no better than an animal, lowly, stupid, utterly uninteresting. There is no better proof of living and of having the right to continue doing so, than pitting one's life against the life cherished by a superior mind - be that life their own or belonging more naturally to another. Those who can bring one to scrape at the very floor in the bowels of the depths of their brain, so that their muscles ache and tremble and their flanks drip with desperation, are the only beings suitable for the contest. A respect that rivals the soundest brotherhood makes one almost sad to succeed against such creatures, but that qualm is quite abolished once victory has settled comfortably and properly filled the gut - when the hunger is abated.
