    A laugh in the dark. A silhouette through the flames. "And who are you, dear child? Come. Come; we have news for you, my devoted follower. Could it be? Could it be? Oh, my sacrificial lamb. Please, do sit. Let us talk." You turn, glancing longingly back at the mouth to the cavern you travelled through to get here. Forcefully, pressure is added to your shoulders, though the shadows have not yet shifted. You think of your brother; your mother, your aunt. Your knees hit the cave floor and you make eye contact with the toothy grin plastered to the blackness. "Ah. You miss them too. Yes- yes. Your family, correct?" Too many voices echo around the cavernous walls. The fire blazes, almost silver in the dark. "Now, now. You must relax. Sit a while. Tell us of your loved ones. Let us see. Let us see..." In your mind's eye, they come to life - dancing through the grass on sumemr's first morn. Gathered around you as you breathe for the first time. You reach out, shakily splaying your fingers in an attempt to grasp your mother's hand. "Don't worry, my dear. You'll be safe here." Pain then coldness, you slip away.
