Boreas was the first son of rather gentle parents, the only son of his mother, and it was clear from early on that he was different. Although born to Arcane, it was clear he had Ice in him--in his heart, in his methods.

Perhaps because he was an only child for a time, the sole inheritor of his parents' affections, or perhaps because he was simply born that way, Boreas was prideful, haughty, and at times insufferable to his clanmates and peers.

From an early age he was maneuvering into the good graces of the leaders of the clan, manipulating peers for his own personal gain with his looks and powerfully alluring personality.

His arrogance was balanced by a ruthless capability and a charming affability when it suited him. He was cunning, calculating, and charismatic. It was obvious he was a natural born leader, well-built for the cut-throat and violent world of politics and drawn by the intrigue of power. Many feared what he would do when he eventually did come into that power.
