Some lore (short story) the I (draggo37 ) wrote to earn this beautiful dragon





My sister (Glinda) and I were walking back to our den from patrol on our borders. It was nice that we were strolling the forest grounds instead of flying, almost relaxing. While we were walking some birds were flying around us, some were perched on our backs. One flew on my horn, I tried to swat at it but it flew away as soon as I moved.

After awhile my sister got annoyed and started chomping at the birds they all flew over to me. After snapping like crazy my sister froze, a stick had snapped a few wingspans behind us. She immediately bolted in the opposite direction from the noise. I chased after her asking what was wrong. Then she answered with the scariest thing possible. Humans. I remember my parents telling me about the horrifying yet small creatures, and my mom telling me to stay away from them.

I was a couple wingspans behind Glinda when a bloodcurdling shot rang out. It seemed to shake the whole forest. Glinda and I immediately took off the ground, but when I was only a few claws in the air another shot rang out.

I felt a hot pain hit the middle of the my left wing. The pain quickly spread thought it my wing. I got off balance and plummeted twards the ground rolling to a stop. I could see red spots on the ground. I stumbled to get up. I looked in the direction of the shots and saw a net growing bigger and bigger. Then again I was on the ground only this time tied up. I had a headache and my vision was blurry but I could kind of make out what looked like a female deer(no antlers) on it’s hind legs, there where more appearing, acouple of them were holding what looked like a big bag, they were slowly coming closer and closer. I blacked out.

I awoke to a growl. Am I... moving? But All I see is blackness, so maybe it’s night. I hear a faint mumbling. from a dragon?!?! Something about the humans. And us... dead.

Suddenly we all stop moving. I hear the humans talking, I feel the dragons beside me being moved.

I feel small paws touching all around me, dragging me. The small paws start to pull the bag off me, for a second every thing was white, and silent. The moment I got my vision back I got up in attack mode. But I was in a cage, there were humans everywhere screeching and squealing. There was another dragon in a much bigger cage. The dragon was all bloody cut and bruised. He mouthed words to me. Something about fighting and death.

One very loud human was screaming into a stick, and it’s voice boomed throughout the cavern. The door of my cage flings open. The dragon tell my to come to his cage. I hesitate, I’ve never been good at fighting.

There I was standing over my opponent. He was perfectly fine and I knew it. But he let me win. During our “battle” he told me there’s a way we both be set free. But one of us will have to get hurt. It didn’t take much to knock him down. Probably because he let me win, I felt bad about if though. I could tell he was only faking but I could tell by the humans expression, they didn’t. The cage door I came in from swung open again, and the humans poked sticks through to get me to move into the other cage. Once I was in they closed the door and moved the gate out of the cavern. I could see the other dragon being dragged off in another direction.

Somehow we were still in the square cavern. But there were no screeching humans. And the moment I got wheeled into the cavern room the humans tied me up, and flung another bag over me. The ropes were tighter this time. Again I was being wheeled, and I could feel the fresh air against my scales. I closed my eyes and slowly dreamt of going home.

The growl had stopped, and we had stopped moving. I could here the humans mumbling and pulling out of the weird box cage. The bag was being opened, I could hear the birds chirp almost as if welcoming me back. I opened my eyes to see the sun glaring at me through the trees. After the humans managed to take the bag off me they slowly untied the ropes. When they had loosened the ropes they ran back into the weird box and the growl began again. Then in a second they were gone in the distance.

I quickly broke free from the ropes and ran home to my den, my parents, and my only sister, Glinda
