Rauchen

Rauchen, Squall's mate, was born in the Hewn City. She is a night hunter; her smoky scales help her blend perfectly into the shadows. Some in the clan find her unsettling; her footfalls are silent on the lair's floor, and she speaks ever-so-softly.

Squall and Rauchen met prior to being accepted into Clan Cumulus; before becoming clan scribe, Squall spent his time roaming; first his homeland, the Shifting Expanse, and then up the canyon wall into Light territory. He was absolutely on-edge while in the Hewn City, but when he met Rauchen, a local, she promised to keep him safe. They have been together ever since.

She is extremely skilled at making charcoal, a talent she nurtured in order to help her mate in his documentation and letter-writing.

As Rauchen comes from the Hewn City, she is very familiar with the centaur herd that lives there, and has become an important part of keeping the alliance between Clan Cumulus and them strong.
