Biography

lilliana.png
Blinking her flowery lashes slowly, Lilyanna sat in his eggshells unaware of just how remarkable she truly was. The clan elders grumbled over her strangeness, causing her to tilt her head in confusion. What was wrong? She wondered to herself.
The decision to keep her around was made with a great fit of celebration. Many of the dragons of her birth clan thought she was a blessing from the Glade Mother. She was raised as such. But not all dragons thought she was special. Some thought she was an omen. Some could not even meet her glowing flower-framed eyes.
Lilyanna was taught nature magic, and she swept through her lessons with ease. Chrismatic, talented, confident; Lilyanna never came across a challenge she could not defeat. Her magic teachers soon ran out of things to teach!
The pink spiral never grew tired of her life in the Gladevines, though. She swept through the clan growing flowers and hanging new vines around in a flurry of helpfulness. Never without a smile, Lilyanna brightened other dragons day with just a whirlwind of petals and a giggle. Her charmed life seemed as if it would never end.
But end it would, in a fury of fire and ash. Lilyanna had been out gathering flowers for an upcoming festival. She saw the snow of ashes before she realized the clan was ablaze in flame. Serthis warriors fled the scene, and all she knew in her life was gone with their acts of arson.
No one she knew was left alive. Trudging through the ashes of her home, Lilyanna was met with the burnt skulls of friends and family. Tears of grief and hatred spilled over the white ground. A wail of anguish thundered across the dead Gladevines, but Lilyanna was alone.
Covered in soot, disturbing images burning in her mind, Lilyanna wandered alone in the Gladevines. Something about the beautiful flowers forever in bloom made her upset. They made her feel more alone. They made her mad. She needed to leave the Viridian Labyrinth, forever.
Fleeing her homeland with no destination in mind, Lilyanna paged through her charmed, and frankly delicate, life. Never had she known greif. Never had she felt this way before. She didn’t even know how to deal with it! Frustrated that she had no way to relieve her feelings, she screamed, mid-flight, until her lungs were sore. Eventually her screams turned into sobs, and she needed to land.
She landed among trees, a familiar sight that was a welcome refuge from the miles and miles of water she had just flown over. Everything seemed to sparkle with a golden light, as if the sun were about to set even when it had to be well after sunset. The golden night was strange enough to tell her she wasn’t in kansas anymore, or so they say. But the sway of the tear she landed in was close enough to the home she knew before that she quickly staunched her tears and fell asleep.
Chirping birds woke her the next morning. But what startled her awake fully was the little nocturne dragon who sat on the bent limb next to her. He watched with curious green eyes, mimicking her curled body by curling his own around the limb he sat on.
“You have some very pretty eyes.” Began the nocturne, cocking his head to the side in a curious way. Lilyanna had nothing to say. “Oh, but your flowers are starting to wilt! If you come back with me, I can get you a glass of water?”
Lilyanna fluttered her lashes, realizing they were drooping a lot and nodded to him.
