Oct. 2^nd, 2018: A most interesting specimen. I had given Subject Beta a number of mice to accumulate many samples of the strange black goo. When the next feeding group was sent in, I tasked one member with retrieving the goo. A large pile had accumulated in the back corner of the cell. Upon drawing close to the goo, Subject Beta escaped his restraints and began covering the staff member in said goo. I ordered the rest of the team to evacuate the cell. By the time everyone had evacuated the unlucky staff member had already taken on the characteristics of the other subjects, save for the green metallic patches all over his body. the new behavior is akin to that of Subject Beta. It is my hypothesis that the black goo is used to create more of this species. For now no personnel is allowed in this cell and Subject Gamma will be sharing the cell with Subject Beta. This will be a wonderful opportunity to observe inter-species interactions.
