Chida

The Cleanser

Chida is a Cleanser. Or, in cruder language, a Reaper. He travels Sornieth, following the scent of rampant sickness and death. His job is to eradicate it: using his affinity for fire, he burns the sickness away, uncaring of any collateral damage.

Years of training and experience have made him numb. Chida has learnt to keep his mind closed to the cries of those left behind, of the sick and the lonely. On the surface, he seems like a harsh professional, completing the job then running away.

His only known soft spot is his apprentice, a guardian named Ezra. They say he adopted her after completing a job back in the early days. Ezra doesn't have a Charge anymore, and dragons are usually too afraid of the pair to probe.
