Biography
From the moment Quja entered Clan Kaitos, his purpose was clear. He was being trained along with several others for the purposes of serving the Tidelord, who was sorely in need of helpers. Lukas personally took over his training as a hatchling, filling the little spiral with stories about the world, and the role he would be fulfilling.
As he got older, he expected to begin venturing out into the wilderness with Arrenzo and Druan. His peers all got picked for the honour, and one by one, they disappeared. Finally, he was the only one left. He waited, eager to prove himself to Kaitos and the Tidelord.
However, it was not to be. Instead Arrenzo came to him with a proposition he wasn't expecting. Stay with us. Become a permanent part of Clan Kaitos. Quja weighed up his options, having been fully prepared for a life under the sea, but he had enjoyed his time with Clan Kaitos. He returned to Arrenzo, his answer already clear. He was staying.
Quja remained with Clan Kaitos as a permanent resident. He used to enjoy sitting with Lukas and listening to the older tundra's stories, although he refused hear a bad word against Arrenzo, and would noodle out if the topic turns to their leader. He still looks forward to the day where his training is completed, and he can help out his new clan as a full fledged dragon.
The loss of Arrenzo and Druan weighed on him heavily. He felt now that it was very possible he'd never reach his full potential, and still feels this way. The further loss of Lukas' stories caused the formerly hyperactive spiral to become somewhat downheartened.
It was only the continued role of mentor for the young spiral, Irelia, that continued to give him hope. Arrenzo assigned him to the task, and he intended to see it through to the end, even at the risk of his own life. He was even known to follow her down to the deepest depths that only a water dragon should naturally be able to reach to show her the true power of a spiral. She slowly came round to him, although progress was intermittent and frustrating.
Progress was made with the clan's move to the Shifting Expanse when Irelia chose to live with Quja over Rowen - choosing her spiral roots over her more watery, eely roots. Quja has shown her the joys of noodling through the air and through crevices in rocks, although he still happily joins her in noodling underwater to the best of his abilities.
