Eggtender
Clutch-maiden for the Clan of Many Stars

Eggtender is a strange sight for anyone. Not only is she a Mirror that is not on the hunt or on constant migration despite her healthy, albeit old, body, but she is also rather chatty and snappy compared to other Mirrors. According to some in the tribe, Eggtender was reportedly a clan leader in the Tangled Woods, however in a ""valiant conflict"" broke off and wandered before she found the Clan of Many Stars, abandoning her own name for something she found better suited for her new occupation, though many chalk this up to being a tale to entertain the hatchlings....

Eggtender is a fast talking, sharp-tongued Mirror that spends most of her time in the Distant Grotto, meticulously watching, caring for, and teaching the hatchlings that the clan's mate's produce. Despite the idea that such a job would require a gentle soul, Eggtender is brash, blunt, and incredibly rough to many, sans her mate, Esma, and her adopted daughter, Kori. She has gone on many occasions sassing the non-residents of the grove, however her innate motherly behaviours extend to all clan members, leaving her to mother-hen the guards, Gaolers, mating pairs, and even the clan leader on multiple occasions. Recently, despite stating that she "wouldn't dare allow another spineless dragon be near the clan's progeny until the day I she has tea with the Arcanist", Eggtender has taken a Bogsneak named Pele under her wing and teaches them accordingly.

Eggtender takes great satisfaction knowing hatchlings make it to the adult phase of their life, something that she often felt and chased in her previous clan. Only Esma and a select few dragons know the old alias of Eggtender, and almost no dragon knows that she is unable to mate herself, leaving her to make sure the hatchlings around her are raised no matter the circumstances.
