Blacksun

Shortly after joining the lair, Black Sun was thrown in to a pool of green toxin in the plague lands by Martini with the help of a desperate Leonard. His body was nearly destroyed by the toxin, but his determination to live carried him all the way back to the lair where he lurked along the outskirts, surviving only because the dragons of the lair brought him food and company. During the migration to the Sunbeam Ruins, he made friends with Conquest and Firefall who helped him fly all the way to their new sun baked home. Through lots of magic and determination, he was eventually restored to his old self. (mostly...)

Short Story:

Pain wracked Black Sun's body as he drug himself along the dirt. He collapsed and looked down at his claws. The scales around his fingers had ripped away completely, exposing the flesh beneath. He looked around at his wings dragging along the ground and felt his heart sink. The once dazzling gold was completely gone, replaced by a dark, sickly green. The webbing seemed to melt and tear from his wings with every movement. He struggled to stand once more and pulled himself toward the horizon. The only thought that pierced through the agony was "Home... Home... Home..."

The next year of his life was spent sleeping under broken and rotting trees, the only visitors being curious dragons bringing him food, sometimes as just an excuse to gawk at the zombie of the wastes. His marred hide still bled when he moved too far or too fast.

Mydtox and Zultan began to visit him regularly near the end of summer, talking about the lair moving to a new location. They wanted him to come with, to be a part of the family once more. After many weeks of preparation and work, the day came to move. Conquest and Firefall came to Black Sun's aid, making the slow and agonizing journey to the Sunbeam Ruins at his side.

Elwyn, Mydtox, Zultan, Conquest, and Firefall all worked hard to find a way to help Black Sun reclaim his former life. They helped clean his scales and wings, spent time with him, and made sure only the best food went his way. After many moons of hard work, his skin began to heal and his scales to regrow.

Though he is more beautiful now than before, he will never forget the nightmare he lived for so long.
