______ Growing up the son of a Spiral and Nocturne was always something Croix had fun telling his friends when he first met them. Of course, they thought he was joking, but only until they had come to his lair to study or just to hang out. He didn't mind that he didn't look anything like his parents, he just knew something else must've happened either before or when he was born. Curses were rare, but not unheard of, he just figured his parents must've made someone important mad, who not only turned him into what he was, but also distorted his eye color. He had seen other dragons with eye colors close to his on journeys to the marketplace or inter-region gatherings with his parents.

______ But of course, everything had to change when his parents-or at least who he THOUGHT were his parents-told him that they weren't his biological parents. They had explained that they had been having trouble keeping their nests alive, so one of their friends had talked to a couple of his clan mates and asked them if they'd be willing to give one of their hatchlings to them so they'd finally be able to have a hatchling of their own. This shook his world, but at least now he knew the truth. He wasn't mad at them for keeping it from him until he was older because he was sure that if they had told him when he was younger, he would've ran off in a huff to find his true parents.

B I O G R A P H Y

______ After Croix met his parents and found out they were both crusaders of the Haiken order, and pretty high ranking ones, he made it his life goal to live up to his parent's legacy. He often set out into the coliseum by himself, scaring his foster parents. There were a few times he blacked out, but right before he did, he saw bright white and gold warriors come to his aid. Then of course, he fainted, but he always made it back home, not knowing how he made it. Robinberry always made sure he got better as fast as he could so he could get back to upheaving his parent's world, so Flasha eventually had to talk to her and tell her to try and slow down his healing process so he'd stop almost getting himself killed.

______ A few years later, after finally learning his lesson, Croix became one of the best warriors in his clan. He was asked to be a teacher to teach some of the dragonets, but he turned it down. As much as he loved the hatchlings, he wanted to fulfil his dream of being like his parents. He trained, and trained, and trained, until he was sore and was pretty sure he had torn muscles. But of course Robinberry fixed him up in a week, then he was back to his cruel coliseum smashing.

______Finally, the day came when his foster parents took him to see his real parents again, but instead of taking him to them, they veered off and took him to the southernmost part of the Sunbeam Ruins where he saw not just his true parents, but hundreds of white and lightly colored dragons. His dad stood out among them with his dark purples and reds, and his black armor. Croix started wondering why he was different, but quickly pushed that aside when he landed softly of the grass. He went over to his birth parents and asked what was going on. His mother replied that he was going to become a Haiken Crusader that day. He almost leaped for joy, but stopped himself and looked back at Contrast and Flasha. They were smiling and had their tail intertwined, but he wondered if he was going to have to leave them. As if his mom had read his mind, she assured him that he could still live with Flasha and Contrast. He smiled, and went through the ceremony. During the ceremony, he was able to pick his signature weapon. There were a variety of spears, swords, throwing weapons, and others, but he went with a sparkling trident painted pale yellow in places. He later found out that his sister, Illima (who was also at the ceremony, and had stunning green eyes, but he saw her before he had landed with what looked like gusts of wind coming from them) had gone with a blue version of the same weapon.
