Biography

melt

Veri wasn't the only one effected by the chemicals...

(( Melt was a spy within the lab when all the stuff happened ))

Abner isn't used to such daring missions. it has only been the second week of his job, and yet his boss wants him to do this?! Whatever that 'T-T-M24'vial contains, it must be very valuable; if it isn't then what would be the point of coming into this land?

The brightly coloured wildclaw looked around himself, to the barren, dark lands. Abner remembered as a hatching, how he would cower as the very mention of The Tangled Wood; but now he walked the dusty roads of it.

"oh the irony" he thought to himself, as he trudged through countless glowing mushrooms, "who knew the Light would be the one invading the Shadow."

At this time of day Abner didn't bother to be stealthy at all, since most dragons of this element will be blissfully sleeping; and blissfully letting their guards down.

As he walked through the murk and vines of the land, he finally spotted his target. A lab. The lab. Although it was old and dusty, it resembled the one in his land; colours that would blend in or pop out different ways you would look, vegetation growing around and along it and of course, the peaceful humming from the inside.

"Come-on, snap out of it!!" Abner whispered to himself, "I'll be home soon. I just need, to finnish, my mission" He panted

Was it a good idea to climb up the side of the lab in the middle of the day? Maybe not. Does it get him closer to his objective? definitely.

Abner quickly but carefully opened up an unlocked window, an squeezed inside. As soon as he was in the lab, he found himself in a long hallway. To Abner's relief though, everyone seemed to be gone.

As the spy walked along the hallway, he observed every passing room. Each room seemed to customised to fit the breed of the scientist who worked there; it was quite fascinating really, especially the ones for impirals.

After reaching his destination (room F2-7) he heard voices from inside:

"But like I said before, It's day, and I'm pretty tired, so why don't we go home love?..." A small but masculine voice spoke through the door.

"Okayyyy" A more feminine replied "But you're making the bed, not me!"

After this, small giggles were heard, and seeing that as an opportunity to Abner, he slowly opened the door and strode in. He crouched low to the ground, and kept his wings tight around him. He quietly peeked around the corners around him. No sign of the vial (just normal science equipment) and no sign of the two dragons.

As Abner turned another corner, the male voice spoke, now closer, "Pshhhh, we're not in public you goop, now come here!"

The sound of giggles once more, filled the lab, causing the wildclaw to groan in disgust. He tried tried to ignore it, which successfully worked, until, out of the blue, an earsplitting scream sounded.

Abner's head shot up, to the source of the sound: A terrified female Fae, her skin and scales were sizzling and melting! She look like she was in horrible agony, and enough to knock her partner out too.

Abner desperately wanted to help her, she was dying, for Light's sake! But unfortunately he had to get back to his job, no matter how much his mind screamed in protest. Before he did though, he cast one more look to the 'infected' scientist and her partner, but that's when he caught something.

A shattered glass tube on the floor, labelled: 'T-T-M24'! That was the vial Abner was supposed to collect! "I failed..." He thought.

The Light WIldclaw was so caught up in his wrong-doings, that he didn't notice the male Fea retreating.

"Help... Me" The female fea-now-mirror begged to thin air, as she dragged her long body to a balcony. Soon enough she rose off the ground and flew off to who-knows-where, leaving Abner behind.

Time past as Abner still contemplated. "I'm going to die if I get back empty handed! But why would my boss want that vial anyway? What am I supposed to do now-" The Wildclaw's rapid thoughts got cut off as a loud message was heard from outside:

"Light Spy in the Lab! Light Spy in the Lab! Light Spy in the Lab!"

Switching back to reality, Abner bolted from where he stood. He clumsily jumped across benches and seats within the small science lab, and once again on the ground near the balcony.

"I need to escape now!!" He screamed out loud, as he reared for the outside world. but before Abner could take one more step, his claws got stuck in something, causing him to crash to the ground.

"Oww" he said, grumpily trying to move his body; but he couldn't.

"W-what?" He exclaimed, with wide eyes. His body was stuck on the ground, his fur 'moulded' to the ground. The spy tried once again to move himself but that caused something else to happen.
A burning sensation filled his body. Lumps of flesh started to burn and melt as if Abner was wax.

Abner screamed in agony. His bones around him snapped and stretched, as bright colours started illuminating his skin. It stung and seared, burned and impaled the unlucky Light dragon. It was only now, that Abner knew how the fea felt, being misshapen and moulded into another form.

After a while of crying in agony, Abner regained his petrified thoughts and clumsily stood upwards, his tears hitting the floor. He looked at balcony, determination etched on his face.

Abner slowly moved towards the sunset. The blood, acid and tears blended together as he strode forwards, colourful wings rising and falling in unison.

Wherever that Fae went, he'll be going too. And with that, the Once-Wildclaw-Now-Mirror flew towards the setting sky. Early rising shadow dragons looked at Abner with astonishment and utter confusion.

He new for a fact, that he will never be going back home, so, where to then?
