Valda

a traveler from spiral keep- or so she claims. valda is temperamental, hardworking, and a loner- as such, she appoints herself as the outcast of the clan. she keeps to herself, only occasionally interacting with the other members to ask about the storage or other things.

valda claims she had arrived to the clan because she had felt "something special" about the cave it resided in. she has yet to figure out what that means herself, but she can't help but be drawn to the twisting cave. rosewater had let her stay, as long as she contributes to the food storage, or helps around the clan once in a while.

valda occasionally fishes, and assists robin in babysitting the twins (an activity she loathes, but puts up with). otherwise, she stays in her room- writing letters to somebody secret, updating them on who-knows-what. although the rest of the clan knows about her letters, they don't know what kind of info she is sending out- and to who.

the guardian swears that something is beyond the clan's depths, farther into the maze-like cave; the area that rosewater had prohibited everybody from entering.
