xxxxxx It was a usual morning. Waking up and going to the stand. Of course, before leaving, doing the morning routine he usually did. Then he would go to the stand. It was strange, being across from someone who is better than he is. The thing is, he never let that show. So every day as Gadget would try to sell his items, he would just look at Ombre with a snarky look. He just thought that it would make him feel - whats the word - less popular? But it was on one particular day that his whole life changed. Gadget had had no sales in the last month. All of it went to Ombre. It was today when Ombre pretty much had everyone in the lair come swarming to him and Gadget was left with nothing. He had to admit it - it was strange. Gadget had the feeling that this was always what it would be. No one wanted his worthless scraps of items. They wanted bright familiars, things to boost their battle abilities, even the exact things that Gadget was selling at his stand. Gadget was zoning out, looking at the crowd he had wished he had, when a dark figure blocked his view. The lair leader, Toto, looked at Gadget straight in the eye. She explained to him that he wasn't making any treasure, so he had to pack up his things and go back to his dwelling. Gadget knew better than to argue with her, so he just did as she said. He grabbed an empty chest and placed the trinkets he was selling into it. Gadget dragged his way to the dwelling. He was about to enter it when he heard a familiar voice.
"What are you doing?" Ombre shouted.
This was what changed his life.
