From hatching, Gale and Gust were inseparable. Identical in almost every way, it was often difficult for caretakers to tell them apart, and their mutual outbursts when separated made it yet harder to keep them apart.

They often spend days away from other dragons, speaking to and seeing only each other, though their mutual creative genius makes the result worth the wait. Their cumulative efforts are responsible for the large array of platforms and kites above Summit's Peak, all as functional as they are intricate and ornate.

Of the twins, Gale is the more withdrawn. Being hard of hearing, he relies on his sister to interpret spoken language for him. He experiences anxiety in social situations, and tends to stick to the background, communicating only by necessity, except with those closest to him.

Gale is responsible for the mechanical genius behind he and his sister's creations, able to envision the workings of the platforms and kites when airborne, the twists and turns of the hinges held aloft in varying weather and climate. He insists on finishing all the runic carvings and paintings himself, spending many hours laboring over each kite before sending it to the heights.

A few of Gale's kites and balloons have gotten possessed over the years. He enjoys the company. The spontaneous combustion, though, not so much.
