Darwin The Shattered One

Polite, Reserved and Guilt Ridden, Darwin is a timid creature from her broken history. Darwin was a member of a cult that sacrificed dragons to The Shade, her victims we're plently and she never once batted an eye to their horrified faces until she had met one dragon, one lonely, scared dragon. Darwin had felt what none of the other members felt; Empathy. She had started to repeat fate once more and nurtured and cared for the dragon who both formed feelings for and sealed her fate.

The cult, once again furious the same thing happened, tortured her lover, removing his sight so he could no longer see and exiling both far away from eachother, including their children.

Darwin woke to the smell of the salty sea and a gentle breeze rustled her wiskers, her eyes crumbled under the midday glow of the sun that shone right on her giving her a warm cozy feeling "Hey! you awake?!" a dragon shouted at her "you've been asleep for 3 days and 3 nights!" the dragon had put her claws on her resting body and gently shook her "c'mon! I see your eyes open, say something!" the dragon shaking her a little bit more, she groaned and slowly cocked her head to her side towards the dragon. "Hey! Morning sleepy head, here let me help you up" the dragon had lifted her up on her back and took her into a cave filled with countless other dragons each looking at her with concern. The two reached a spare carved out cavern where she was nursed to health again.

Days had passed and Darwin was restored to full health by the dragons of the clan, her final checkup was with the dragon that had lifted her into the cave; entered the room introducing herself as Hydro, she sat next to Darwin to make sure everything was okay.
"Hey there, just want to ask if your okay today" Hydro gave a warm smile towards her
"Yes thank you... I'm doing okay" Darwin built up her courage to ask one more question "Um... Miss Hydro, d-do you think I could stay h-here?" she looked away in embarrsement
"Yes! We'd love it!" not a moment had passed and Hydro had already agreed which was foreign to her
"T-Thats great... thank you" she gave a coy smile towards her "but... this place isn't a cult by chance r-right?" her smile turned to a timmid frown but nervously laughed soon after.
