Biography

Mandarianfish works under the overbearing gaze of Cynnus, but this doesn’t stop her from doing her own experiments. Constantly poured into studies commenced by the Terra-Aquatics Dome (TAD) and using her own biology to get closer to more dangerous sea creatures, she has become an expert at ocean life. However, due to her uprising in her birth clan, she doesn’t understand scripts and prefers either diagrams or verbal demonstrations. It doesn’t make her “stupid,” but it does cause conflict between other researchers who want neat reports. She often had to butt heads to get past fellow scientists, but once her own son, a Pearlcatcher named Biscuit, decided to become a scribe, turning in experiments became much easier.

Though a work-holic, she is also known for her motherly pass-times and can be found working alongside the Tianlong Sisters to care for hatchlings. She has strong beliefs in family and parental love and treats all orphans as her own. This could be because of how fast her hatchlings grew up and now only has Biscuit to confined to. Being the lone Ridgeback of the clan can also have some negative effects as well, but Neptunica constantly checks to make sure Mandarian is comfortable.

Living on Süwon, she isn’t too far from another scientist, scribe, or Biscuit, and loves to sun herself along the white sands. She is currently a widow.
