He's self centered, that's undeniable. He clearly puts himself first and foremost and it's selfishness that is keeping him from becoming a doctor. He is very intelligent and is able to hold long conversations on philosophy but his preferred topic is plays and acts- as long as it pertains to himself.
He spends a lot of his time in the garden, though he doesn't do much actual gardening. He spends his time writing, singing, drinking tea and playing his kalimba. Cesare prefers it this way.
