Dengue

Aggressive - Obedient - Apathetic

Dengue is the eldest son of Lassa and Rabies, born to their second clutch along with his sister, Cholera. With an elder sibling uninterested in spending time with the two hatchlings, and a mother and father usually busy with their duties in the Clan, the young siblings grew close to one another. They became virtually inseparable and loyal to few other than each other.

In their adolescent years, the siblings showed promise in their team work. Their talents were realized first by Rubella, witnessing the two hatchlings immaturely hunting small game, like mice and insects. She took the siblings under her wing, training them to use their tactics of team work to their advantage. Soon, they were inducted into her hunting party.
Dengue, with the aggressive nature he inherited from his mother, acts as a hunting dog after his sister performs her duty to the party. With savage determination, he chases the game from their hiding places and leads them to Rubella, the lead Huntress, who expertly finishes off the victims with swift and expert precision.
His role in the hunting party of three earned him the title The Hound, a name members of Languorem use for him more regularly than his given birth name.

As a child of Lassa and Rabies, Dengue is plagued with the sickness of his mother. It shows itself much more in him than his sister. His darkened markings and aggressive nature displays the virus openly to the clan.
Unlike his mother, his mind is not as intact as hers. Dengue walks a careful line, having to keep his anger in check lest he go into a psychotic frenzy. Luckily, his sister knows him better than any dragon in the clan. Her presence keeps him calm enough to suppress the mind deteriorating plague.
