______ Some days Camellia didn't feel quite right. She didnt exactly know what it was, she had everything she could hope for. A good home, a decent job, a predictable life. There was nothing more she could ask for. Perhaps it was the monotony of living like this, day-in day-out. Wake up, hunt, eat lunch, bring home whatever she had caught, read a scroll, sleep, then repeat. It was maddening to do that every day, every week, every year. She needed something new, something fresh. Scrambling to her feet, Carmella realized what she needed. Spreading their wings, she kicked off the ground and flew against the gentle breeze, heading south.

______ The frigid wind ruffled Carmellia's fur, causing them to squint against the oncoming flurry. Looking for a place to land for the night, Carmellia wondered if she had gone too far south. They had already passed the Sea of a Thousand Currents and were halfway through the Southern Icefield. Carmellia decided that if there wasn't a suitable home farther south, she would return to the small village at Zeppher Stepps. Swooping into a ravine to rest, she collapsed on the stone ground.... stone? If it was snowy up there, why wasn't there snow down here? Looking up, Carmellia managed to see a village full of dragons before passing out. /
