Biography

Clan Elder

Her Story:
Celia was always a bit of a free spirit. She spent her early years wandering the Tangled Woods, meeting all kinds of dragons, and even when she settled down and started a small den with a few of her friends, she merely did what she wanted when she wanted.

For instance, hunting by herself, despite all the protests that the idea rose in the den. She was so small, people would argue. She'll get hurt, all by herself.

But Celia didn't care. Why would she? She knew how to handle herself in a fight.

On the occasion in question, she was chasing after a rather tricky butterfly. They were quite tasty, but also quite elusive. She was lost in her concentration, but was startled back into reality rather quickly when a set of claws blocked her sight of the insect. Rather miffed by the loss of her lunch, she crawled out to give the dragon who had stopped her, only to find a rather strange sight. An imperial dragon that she had never seen before stood in front of her and meekly apologized. She nearly laughed when he told her that she had scared him-but she couldn't deny how nice it felt to be taken seriously.

They talked for a while, before she invited him to her den.

He agreed, and she couldn't shake the feeling that this was so... right somehow. Like this Imperial... This Altair... was simply meant to stay with her den.

Her Conjuring:
One day, many moons after Altair had settled into the den, they had a talk. It was... rather deep, and if she were to be honest, it scared her a little bit. But, when he came home looking pleased as punch, she figured that she must have done something right. She flew up to sit on his shoulder, and hummed as she looked over his new appearance. Crystals grew alongside his horns, a pink halo glowed faintly behind his head, and a small mouse was curled up next to him. "There's a mouse on your head, Altair. Plus... I'm liking the new look." She offered, receiving a laugh from the imperial.

"Celia, you're not going to believe what happened." He said, reaching up to gently pick up the glowing mouse. "I dunno exactly how it happened, really, but... I was just talking to myself in the reflection of the lake, and... There was a flash of light, and all these crystals grew! Then this little guy appeared from the light, and... Well, I found my destiny. And you were right. It is to help other people." He spoke excitedly, and Celia couldn't stop herself from catching the energy.

"Yeah? So... Can you show me?" She asked hopefully, flying to sit on his snout. He hummed softly and looked at her with a smile.

"Maybe. I just need you to trust me, okay? Honest answers." He said, sitting back. The mouse on his head woke up, and dashed to sit by his horn. When Celia nodded, he took a deep breath and stared into her eyes. "Celia, what... What do you think your purpose is? What is it that you're meant to do?" He asked softly, his voice almost... mesmerizing. Celia found that she couldn't tear her eyes away from his.

"My... My purpose...?" She repeated, taking a slow breath. "W-well, uh..." She fumbled for a moment, before closing her eyes to think. Altair didn't comment, merely waited. Finally, she opened her eyes, and met his without hesitation. "I was meant to give a home to others, where everyone is welcome. That's why I cleared the space for the den, y'know?" She said, nodding after her words. Altair grinned, and the pocket mouse on his head glowed a little brighter.

"That's really nice of you." He said with a nod as a soft light began to grow between them. Celia's eyes widened as a shape began to take form in the glow almost immediately. She inched closer and reached out to touch it. The glow faded, and she raised an eyebrow at the snakelike creature sitting on Altair's snout with her. Altair couldn't help but laugh softly. "That was my reaction, too. But... You'll get attached quickly, promise." He said with a wink. The pocket mouse chittered on his head, and Celia began to pet the creature.

"So you... Made this?" She asked, still in awe. Altair shrugged.

"I don't control what I summon. They're... A guide, but also a physical manifestation of your purpose, almost. It's hard to explain." He confessed, reaching up to scratch his neck spines. Celia shrugged and offered him a grin.

"I'm happy for you, Altair. And thank you." She grinned, before picking up her new familiar and dashing off-She knew that Altair would want to show off his new power with others, and she didn't want to keep him from his destiny.
