Dodie plans the construction of the lair, often taking part in the building process herself as well. She is hardworking yet insecure in her abilities, often suffering from imposter syndrome as the lead architect. Mysteriously, crystals sprout from her rough skin as a result of the arcane energies in the environment. These crystals are frequently trimmed off and used for their magical properties by wizards.

Dodie has romantic feelings for Haldore after a long-term close friendship, although has never felt in a place where she would have the time to pursue a relationship. They get along with eachother having both moved to Starlit Landing from the same clan in Dragonhome together. Pallis regularly visits Dodie while she plans for construction to gently chip away at the crystals on her skin. He takes these back to Heather's Laboratory for study by the students. Pallis is not rude to her but he is not friendly either, they regularly interact yet do not consider eachother to be more than aquaintences. Dodie does not mind the crystal removal as it is not painful and they can grow so big that they affect her movement otherwise. She is uninterested in understanding their cause or power, so knows next to nothing about them.
