Despite being the oldest of her two other siblings, Morwen didn’t like glory and battles.

She left that to her brothers, Lindir and Estel. They were the fighters- they liked to gain as much fame as they could, slaying creatures that were a danger to their mother and father, who were consequently the leaders of the Clan.

Viridian and Arari were kind enough, she supposed. She didn’t know anything else besides them and how they acted, so she didn’t know if they were supposed to be nicer or more generous.

But Morwen was certainly the graceful, kind, generous dragon of the family, regardless of how the other dragons in her family were acting.

It was clear from the way she gently trotted toward a hungry dragon, her ember-colored dress fluttering in the breeze as she offered help to anyone who needed it.

It was obvious from the way she lightly and smoothly slipped toward a hatchling who was struggling to fly correctly, or who was unable to get up from a small rock ledge.

It was evident from the way she settled miniature arguments over things like food or materials- it was like she was the resident mediator of the entire Clan, one who, with a simple flickering of her tail, could calm a pair of infuriated dragons.

And, just around now she was resting in where most of the hatchlings were kept.

It was a comfortable place to be and the bronze-patterned dragon found herself settled there a lot. It was nice and pleasant to be around so many cheery, smaller dragons who were so bouncy.

Glancing to her right, Morwen spotted a small, greenish-yellow dragon with bright golden eyes who appeared to be trying to sweep a small leaf out of the way of another smaller dragon- this one had a purplish hue with darker reddish-blue undertones.

“Share, young ones,” she reprimanded, yet in a gentle, flowy, lilting tone that seemed to calm the younger dragons.

The green-scaled one nudged the leaf to the other and with a small chirp, they settled on sharing it. A small smile stretched over Morwen’s face as she stood.

The familiar beating of wings filled the air once more.

It happened usually once or twice a day. Her brothers were back from the coliseum.

It was common that they’d come back with a familiar or two, perhaps some scraps of food they’d gotten from the place where they fought so hard. Occasionally, they’d have a scrape that she’d hurriedly attempt to tend to; usually, this didn’t end well, with her just attempting to plaster some sort of moss or grass atop.

Of course, after that, she’d go to see if there was anything else she could do about it. But that was unlikely as it was.

Swiftly, Morwen spread her wings and flashed a gentle grin at the smaller dragons within the hatchery. She flew elegantly toward where her brothers were lightly landing.

“Morwen,” they greeted in sync.

Giving a little purr of greeting, she approached them, giving them each a quick passing of her muzzle to show she cared. It was almost customary, despite never having been officially implemented before.

“How did it go?” She questioned, studying them with a warm, yellowy gaze.

Estel answered first, golden wings fluttering slightly as he spoke, “It went as usual.”

Lindir quickly cut in with a cheerful chirp, “We beat everything, as usual. When we were flying back, we got a nice cheer going.”

The two shared an excited grin, pale yellow eyes meeting for a moment.

Morwen smiled and she nodded, “I see.”

She took the plants and a few bugs that they’d gotten from their battles and carefully transported them to the hoard, lightly sorting them once more.

Then, with a rather comfortable feeling settling within her, she sat down in a nice patch of sun, simply observing the dragons that were milling around, and waiting to see next when she’d be helping someone.
