He never thought he would do anything great in life. As a child Verdigris was small and often sickly, unable to catch up with his family half the time. He lost his family in a storm as an adult and Verdigris struggled at first to live alone. He was small framed and had a voice of silk, resulting in plenty of dragons walking all over him and him ending up in unfortunate situations. During one of these situations he met the Venari clan, who was run by Odfri at the time. Odfri offered him a home within the clan and he accepted hesitantly.

He was immediately met with mockery from the other clan members as they questioned their leaders choice. Odfri ignored the commotion and dedicated a fair bit of his time mentoring and training the small fae. To everyone's surprise Verdigris had a knack for hunting. His small and quiet nature made prey hard to detect him. He took to battle as well as an inner and quiet rage ignited in his chest during his training. He had watched too many times as those like him were stomped on and crushed. Verdigris, quick in battle and stealthy in nature, earned an affectionate title within the clan; "The quiet death".

He began to lead expeditions to rescue allies and strangers from slave traders and capture. Odfri perished during one of these expeditions. On his death bed he appointed Verdigris his successor, and this time the clan didn't laugh. Verdigris took to the role well, although he ran the clan fairly differently than his mentor. His clan focused on travel, rescue missions, and repairing nature from the damage of many.

During an expedition they rescued an imperial named Xtabay who almost quickly stole his heart. He refused her request to join the clan numerous times in worry she wouldn't take to their nature, but eventually caved when his affections grew too deep. Charmed by her boisterous nature, he didn't reject her request to become mates. Shortly after, an imperial named Hunter also caught his eye. Hunter, a broad and strong hunter, wasn't aware of his gaze, but once Xtabay also found herself crushing on the imperial she made it rather loudly known their affection. Hunter joined their relationship, and now Verdigris often finds himself crushed in Hunter and Xtabay's arms.

Personality: Verdigris is more than meets the eye (and ears!). While he speaks softly and carries himself with little presence, Verdigris is a capable fighter and driven. He leads with a quiet presence and is rather respected among his clan, although he will admit he had to earn said respect.

A romantic under his quiet demeanor, he loves silently and gently. He's more the type to give small gifts and smile towards his mates, although Xtabay clearly makes her love known by loud teasing and rough snuggles. He doesn't hate it, though, and while his face may exhibit a look of slight suffocation as Xtabay and Hunter squeeze him while they sleep he's rather fond of his relationship and would do just about anything for his mates.
