 Formerly the matriarch of clan Nostalgia, Toothiana went missing shortly upon the return of Sanctus. Her whereabouts and purpose for disappearing remain unknown, but she temporarily passed on the responsibilities of her title to the Pearlcatcher, with one of her children bearing witness. Thus far the transition has remained relatively smooth, with the workings of the clan remaining mostly unchanged, but some can't help but wonder if their beloved queen will truly return. Rumors say she carries with her a legacy; That in her presence the wind whispers sweet songs of the Sisters of Flight, and mournful hymns of their passing to those who are willing to listen. But regardless of the whys and hows of stories, it is understood by her kin that Toothiana has had enough experience with the whims of voracious cruelty to be guarded against it every moment of her busy life. And a busy life the Queen lives indeed. Before her disappearance, she personally took responsibility for leading most gathering parties, keeping the workings of the clan in check, encouraging the crafts and passions of those who live within it, and at times negotiating with other clans when an ambassador - or more subtle messenger - would not suffice. Much of her spare time had been spent accompanying young ones into the wilds personally, to aid them in learning to defend themselves, hunt, and navigate the lands. On rarer occasion she was found in the company of a clan from Rotrock Rim, specifically within the presence of Pitch. What purpose this union had remains unspoken, but there had been some talk of insurrection beneath otherwise cordial negotiations, and the idea that this relationship was somehow connected to such a hypothetical plot - or even the former matriarch's disappearance now - has remained a popular theory within the clan. She made friends with the birds and the wind...
