Alastrina was adopted by Clauvia and Emprisa when she was just a few days old. She's very close with her moms, but unlike them, she has almost no interest in battle. Unironically, Alastrina, from a young age, had an extreme interest in rocks, those of bright colors specifically. As she grew up she became extremely knowledgeable in her area of interest. Stones and gems liter her den, organized in a way only she understands. Her moms are very proud of her for pursuing her passions, rather than feeling pressured to do what they both do.

What is your favorite type of rock (or fossil)?

"Oh! That is an excellent question. Fortunately for everyone that does not have any extensive knowledge on the topic, I have a simple answer. It's not, however, based on any scientific fact or complicated organization system." Alastrina turned around and walked to a shelf in the back of her den. She carefully grabbed 4 rocks off a shelf, carrying them back to you. "I have four favorite rocks, one for each of my favorite dragons. The first is called 'pyrope' -not 'pyrite'- and it reminds me of mom." She held out a dark reddish-black rock with flecks and veins of white. "Next is fire opal. The mix of colors makes me think of mama. She held out a white, crystal looking rock, with bits of every color of the rainbow reflecting in the torchlight. "And the next two are fairly new additions, and they're a little bit different. The first is 'maw sit sit', or 'jade-albite', and the other is 'howlite'. They remind me of Ryktenar and Kagrex respectively." The ridgeback held out two rocks. One was green with marbled black, and the other was white with black and grey patterns that looked like cracks. "So, yeah! Those are my favorite rocks. They mean a lot to me, and I'm so glad you asked about them. Thank you!"
