WHO
Amidst the darkest regions of space, far from the reaches of what little light existed, emerged the first of the Leviathans, which are characterized by their entrancing abyssal colours and bright, cyan skeleton patterns. 
ORIGIN
As the first of his kind, Leviathan roamed the universe alone. His spiral shaped body curled and twisted its way throughout gleaming nebulas, past gargantuan drifting asteroids, and eventually, through a pulsating hole in space that had grown larger since his arrival. It pulled in what little light there was in all directions. Unlucky chunks of space rock fell into it's grasp. They disappeared into its dark center without a sound, and Leviathan feared he too, would fall into the growing trap. He came back every hundred years or so to gaze at it, fearing how large it had grown each century. Every time he wandered his way back through the cosmos and into the shimmering blue nebula from where he'd been born, he dared closer and closer to the anomaly. It had begun to drink at the edges of his birthplace, stretching and swallowing the stardust. The light faded, the nebula shrank, and the next time Leviathan returned, it was eaten entirely. Leviathan regarded the hole as a monster with dark intentions, only existing to devour his newfound playground. Furious from the loss of his birthplace, Leviathan charged at the anomaly and in a spiraling rage, fell victim to it's powerful Gravity and was pulled in. When he awoke, he found the source. It was a similar looking spiral female curled in a dimension of hollow darkness. He found her impossibly alluring, and she found him to be her only escape from her lone dimension. The two broke free of the nothingness-prison after wandering for nearly a millenia through the nothing, and were finally able to roam the universe together without threat. Over time, the two noticed they grew well past adulthood, becoming massive compared to the planets, stars, and asteroids that were locked in an endless cycle of floating around one another. They grew and grew and grew. And with it came a terrible hunger. After a few hundred million years alone together, they could bite at planets like they were mice. |
