As the abomination crept from Ianua’s largest portal, the mystics of Shadowbreeze knew that they had knocked on one too many doors.

Green eyes gazed from wing and shoulder back into the source of their sight: once a brain, now a malformed hive of sightless eyes. A roar heard only in the mind lay dragons on their bellies. A turn of Idh's head or a twitch of her wing stole breath from lungs.

Put to ill use, Idh's power would have been enough to halt life as dragons knew it, but the monster's aim was simpler. Isolation in deep space had grown in her a craving for the warmth of touch. A sweet companion – a stray whose mother had left him – was drawn to Idh, despite everything she was. Together they wandered the lush earth, learning what it meant to belong.
