Plantae dragons are resilient, opportunistic, and endlessly adaptable. They value cleverness over intelligence, and are usually found running contests and pursuing Flight Dominance to show off their skill. Epitomizing the phrase ‘working smarter not harder’ Plantae dragons often become successful very early in life, usually while earning the envy and resentment of their peers. Adorned in the colors Green (for abundance and growth) and Gold (the color of first place prizes and treasure) Plantae dragons make excellent explorers, pioneers and self starters. These dragons can be found brainstorming the most efficient coliseum builds, the fastest familiar bonding methods, and calculating the fastest way to max out their Baldwin experience. Some of the most successful skin shops, art shops and auction house profiteers have graduated from this lofty house. Almost unsettling in their ambition they often become integral in communities with very little effort. They feel most comfortable in a position where they don’t have to depend on others and insist on having a complete control of a situation. They strive towards having a completely monopoly in their industry. While their ruthlessness, ambition and controlling tendencies might make these dragons hard to get along with, it should be noted that their habit of learning everyone’s strengths and weaknesses makes them excellent gift givers and powerful allies Noted Plantae alumni include merchants Swipp and Joxar. |

Open fields could be strangely daunting. That was the lesson for the day. The visitor was quickly learning it as they traversed the sports field nestled comfortably between the woods and the Academy proper. The vast loneliness had a way of making you feel small and possibly, a little paranoid. You never knew what could jump out at you. The visitor shivered, tugging their scarf closer around their neck and concentrated on putting one foot in front of the other. It was silly, they had been here many times to watch the matches, but right now the House teams were absent and the spectator stands were empty. Fear of the unknown rendered everything unfamiliar. But they remembered their assignment and the sight of BlueRiver Rose was met with relief. The Guardian in question looked quite at home in the empty field and was swishing their staff this way and that as if bored. "I debated about telling you to wait at the stands, but there are too many variables. You're much safer here with me." BlueRiver Rose tapped the worn trunk next to her with the tip of her staff. The lid sprung open to reveal a set of balls which varied in size and texture. "You wanted a statement, but I thought a demonstration would be better." She gave her staff another series of spins and the balls rose into the air. Some spun at different speeds, others vibrated while a few flattened to become discs or elongated into spears. When she was satisfied, BlueRiver Rose swung her staff in a wide arc and sent the (mostly) balls scattering. "I've placed a randomizer spell on them. This game is never fun if it's predictable. Duck when I tell you too." There was no time to question her as the balls came whizzing through the air. The aim was to trap all of them back in the chest without getting touched by one, and none outside House Plantae dared play it with a randomizer. BlueRiverRose zipped and twirled through the air like a professional. The first collection of balls was snared with creative use of a vine growth spell. The spears and disks rendered useless as walls of earth rose up to act as shields. BlueRiver Rose even levitated the chest itself to scoop up the stragglers, and finally, as she zoomed past used the visitor's scarf as a makeshift net for her final quarry. "Ta-da!" The lid slammed shut, and BlueRiver Rose bowed. "The Biwizard Tournament is full of twists and turns. No amount of preparation or pranks or logic is ever going to cut it. You need a quick mind, adaptability, versatility, cleverness to win." |
