Ghiftri lived her bustling childhood in the Ashfall Waste, surrounded by many other Wildclaws, just like herself. When visiting her relatives, she picked up her skills in witchcraft from her mother's side, and her grandparents gladly gave her lessons, starting when she was a maturing fledgling. For the majority of her childhood, she was taught how to become a strong and lethal witch, yet she wasn't proud with herself. After learning that there were different branches of witchcraft, she begged her grandparents to teach her more about fortune-telling and reading dragons' pasts. It took plenty of time, but eventually, her perseverance had paid off, and her grandparents, Quasar and Aralyn, gave in to Ghiftri. Changing her lessons ever so slightly, her learning path then shifted towards fortunes and past readings, her passionate interest.
When her lessons began to grow dull - everything becoming review to her - she decided that it was time to dive into the world and use her knowledge. She first headed to the Southern Icefield, knowing that such a large landmass must have held many clans, cities and villages alike; unfortunately, however, she had thought wrong. Ghiftri ended up having to escape too many life-or-death situations with the deadly, frozen landscape, and knew that her time in the Southern Icefield was up. So, her next destination was the Starfall Isles. She was much more pleased by the calmer atmosphere and being surrounded by similar arcane magics that she had been taught about, yet she still wasn't fully content with the lack of attention dragons had given her, as all of the arcane dragons were bored from seeing magic. She was ready to leave and head back to the Ashfall Waste, feeling disappointed and let down by her high expectations, but was stopped when a playful travelling bard had caught her attention. He was an eccentric Ridgeback, which she found unusual, as the Ridgebacks she had met were all rude and enjoyed being alone. When his little show was over, Ghiftri conversed with him, learning his name, Chirol, and that he was an official messenger of a plague clan. Interested by his stories, Ghiftri agreed to follow him back to his clan, crossing over the Crystalspine Reaches and into the Wandering Contagion, until they stopped at a town, far across the Abiding Boneyard, settled in a small crater. That was where Ghiftri finally settled down, for the plagued folk were interested in her craft, and she was made a popular fortune-teller, as well as a part-time mage. Once she felt comfortable with her new surroundings, she grew closer to Chirol, until they felt a loving connection between each other. A few years had passed before they had two children, now known as the Trickster Twins, Tsunami and Poisaena.
