Basic info
At first glance, no dragon can guess the horrors Decebal has been through. He's a rather gentle giant, soft voice and kind smile hiding the insecurity and fear he feels whenever he meets someone new. Decebal cannot be around any skydancers for too long without shutting down and going into a reclusive state, no matter how nice that skydancer might be. It brings back too many terrible memories, and Decebal is more of a flight than fight dragon. That is, after all, what he had been taught by his father.

Personality
Decebal is an extremely timid dragon with quite the stutter. Despite trying to be kind to everyone he meets, he has a lot of trouble trusting new dragons because of his past. He always fears that they could be one of Noel's puppets. At the sight of any skydancer, Decebal will visibly freeze up. Apart from niceties he rarely speaks to them. Despite this, Decebal seems to have taken quite nicely to young dragons. He does not fear them the way he fears grown dragons. He has a special place in his heart for orphans in particular. Here you are free to add whatever else you want him to like/ any other trait you want him to have. |

History
From the moment he was born Decebal has known fear. Unlike his sister and brothers, he was not welcomed into life warmly from his mother. She had taken one look at him, her son, and saw nothing more than an experiment. He was just another part of her perfect Build-An-Emperor plan.
While the other hatchlings grew up with her support and love, he was shunned to the side, forced to live down with Grant, who could do nothing but stare blankly at a wall when Noel wasn't in control of him.
Occasionally his father, Occulus, would join him on Noel's request. After all, why should she worry about Occulus doing anything? His brain was fried so badly that he had nothing but admiration for her and her work.
The more time Occulus spent with his son, the more love he felt towards him, just like any of his hatchlings. He was often the one raising the young, and whenever he could he would sneak away to his son, even without Noel's instruction.
Without her knowing, he constructed a plan to break Decebet out and get him far away from the horrors of his home. On one night, when Noel was distracted controlling Grant for a hunt, Occulus snuck in and flew the hatchling off. He did not go extremely far, he could not risk Noel discovering that they were gone, but he did give him quite the headstart.
Decebal didn't hesitate when his father told him to go with one last "I love you" and embrace. He fled, hardly able to keep himself upright, each shaky step showing him just how malnourished he truly was. He traveled until he collapsed, the only instruction his father had given him ringing like a mantra in his head. 'Do not look back. Run.'
