She had taken care of most matters of state, as Undora had done nothing for over a year but stare at the slowly-revealed Prophecy of Colours. Bella had always been practical above all else, and had no hope of beauty finding her in the future. She knew her name was a jest, and chose to wear a lovely mask in public instead of subjecting the general populace to her unlovely visage. She's always loved Sidara a little too much and forgiven her too many times to count.


Bella was preparing for her long-awaited scatterscroll ritual when the sky shook and the winds howled with Undora's Voice; "BELLA!" the imperial landed with a crash on her usual perch. "I NEED to be scattered Bella!"
"Again?"
"IT DID NOT WORK! MY HATCHLINGS WERE NOT GLORIOUS AS PROMISED, AND NEITHER WAS IMPERIAL! I WILL NOT MATE WITH THE NOCTURNE CHILD AGAIN!"
"He's been grown up for quite a while now..."
"THESE ARE NOT MY TRUE COLOURS BELLA, I HAVE NOT FOUND WHAT I NEEDED YET!"
"Enough Shouting My Lady!" Bella threw enough arcane energy into her cry to fizzle Undora's Voice and the clan leader actually looked a little ashamed for a moment.
"I'm sorry, Bella. I'm just so tired of the endless disappointments... I still want to be scattered though, would you like to do it together?" Undora peeked under her lashes at Bella's stoic visage.
"I cannot believe you would care so little that this was supposed to be my day, MY DAY SIDARA!" Bella flinched at the raw hurt in her friends eyes as she used the name that was first given to her when they were both hatchlings, playing in the Zephyr Steppes. " ...sorry... Undora..."
"No." Sidara's eyes were clear, perhaps for the first time in years. "I don't know what I was thinking Bella. I know I should probably just wear a skin. I won't get my old colours back. This was never who I was supposed to be... I'm just sorry it took me this long to realize it. Let the nocturne choose his own name, and if he wishes to try his luck on the Auction House he is welcome to it."
"Sidara...?"
"Yes?"
"IT REALLY IS YOU!" Bella embraced her friend, free from whatever strange influence had driven her to be scattered in the first place. "I would love for us to approach the gem fountain together Sidara. I hope it brings you luck."
