I landed on the soft and grassy earth, the grass was springy and delicate. The wind whispered through my feather-like wings as I tucked them away, a smile gleaned across my face. All that were in my bag was some red thread and a needle. I was ready to start again. Looking around across the vast space of moorlands and bamboo islands i knew that I could make a pleasant life here. I started walking, and it seemed for a while to, until I saw a glimpse of someone in the clouds. “Was that a dragon or a bird?..Definitely a dragon!” I exclaimed as a dashing and strong Imperial landed in front of me. He looked older than me, about 8 years? “Whoof! Well if all of the dragons out here look like this them I’m in heaven!” I thought to myself. The muscular imperial strutted over to me, his wing-guard and broadsword banging on the ground. “Hello. I’m Ario, Head Warrior of the Kite Winds Clan. And you are?” I looked up and kept my head up and scraped the ground with my light claws. “I’m Lyune, a designer looking for a place to call home, and I think I found it!” I looked at the Imperial excitedly, my smile seeming to be contagious. The imperial smiled a bit and looked over to the east, “Well follow me! My clan will be excited with the news of a newcomer.” And with that we spread out wings and flew east, to the Kite Winds Clan. When we landed, I could see many dragons, all different breeds, coming out of homes built beautifully by bamboo and grasses. The place was decorated with kites and balloons. It was astonishing! My jaw dropped and I looked around like a hatchling opening its eyes for the first time. My gaze focused as Ario tapped my on the shoulder, showing my a small and wise Fae, the starting of this clan I had guessed. “Hello there! My name is Ivory, The Matriarch and Healer of this Clan. Who might you be?” I smile and dip my head in a bow like way, “My name is Lyune, a designer who wants to call this remarkable place her home. May I?” Ivory looked pleased, “You may! We shall hold a party for your arrivings. Oh! And i’ll get someone to show you around ok? Um.. Mairon! Over here!” I looked up happily from Ivory and into the crowd of dragons, a handsome Coatl pushed through everyone, there was a paint splatter on his claws and clay dust on his nose. He looked at me and his jaw dropped, my eyes sparkled and I giggled. My heart seemed to melt at the moment, and I knew that this is where I was going to stay for the rest of my life, and I would stay with him. ________________________________________ |
