Orb was adopted by Tangle’s Tribe at a young age, along with three other hatchlings - Iris, Ember, and Minty. Growing up, he spent most of his time with Iris, a fellow Imperial. Since it was his ambition to be a hypnotist, he looked to Destiny for advice. She encouraged his odd dream, and he became her apprentice upon growing up. He became very attached to himself. “If anything were to happen to me, the world would stop!” he once arrogantly exclaimed.

However, he eventually found out that Destiny had been a fraud all along. She was banished from the clan, and Orb was promoted to the hypnotist. Orb was later also banished for hypnotizing his fellow Tribesdragons into obeying his every command.
