Biography
An enigmatic stranger with an odd connection to Avani. If the duo's odd greeting ("Veni" from Avani, without any apparent anger - met by "Vani" purred by Venitas, with the specter of a smile haunting his lips. And nothing more) wasn't curious enough, given neither will explain how they know each other ... Venitas has been called a man of mystery by more than one other member of the clan.
Venitas knows something you don't.
In fact, Venitas knows many things that you don't, he's quite certain. The smile that stretches across his face is an oilslick across the ocean, a razor against flesh - beauteous in the moment, until the aftermath becomes apparent.
The dark stranger with the bright eyes is another reminder - Myansi is not a clan that can be described as good or evil aligned. It's balanced between the two, a patchwork of dragons and not-quite dragons whose own agendas vary, but who are something of a found family regardless.
Venitas is one of those 'not-quite dragons'. On the surface, sure, he appears to be a dark toned spiral - but something is off. It's off in the way his limbs darken more than they should for a spiral that looks like him. It's off in the way his smile is just this side of wider than should be possible for a spiral. It's off in the way he knows of events he wasn't physically present for. There's something distinctly not dragon about dear Venitas, but whatever he really is - it's probably best ...not to ask.
It's also, if you expect his mood to stay pleasant, best to refrain from threatening him with violence. (Unless - another oddity - you happen to be Avani. Make no mistake, the two will fight, but the bloodthirsty duo seem to enjoy it. ...Much to the woe of Myansi's healers, as neither Avani nor Venitas seem to know how to yield unless one or the other can't move for wounds or exhaustion) While Venitas is calmer on the outside, he falls perilously close to Avani on the brutality scale - and gives the exact same comment as they do, when it comes to why he won't yield until he can't move.
"I've faced far worse than this. I wasn't trained to LOSE!"
Given the way both of them snarl the phrase, and the fact that the phrase is followed by markedly more aggressive brutality (desperate, perhaps, to not fail. no one's called them out on it yet) ... there are rumors that the two endured the same teacher. The one who, from one of Avani's outbursts, left the tiny mirror (REDACTED FOR GRAPHIC GORE) ...on the regular. As a teaching method.
That's far from the only rumor associated with Venitas. Myansi has four distinct monster breeds that exist around the territory. The most familiar of which, the Elucids - the primary rumor ties to Avani. Another of which, seen in glimpses and hearsay, may very well be tied to Venitas. Like Avani though, he's not speaking.
And where does he go? Venitas leaves the area with some regularity, though he does so through what appears to be fractures and tears in reality so that none can properly follow him.
And when asked about anything - rumor or not, most often his response is a grin and:
"Why that’s spoilers my dear. Run along now, make sure the cat’s not eating the baby why don’t you?"
----
(Like Avani, bears an oddly neat X shaped scar. Venitas seems to have something of a habit of picking at it, like he's trying to make it go away. Like Avani, those with keen enough eyes will spot a there and gone tensing when others start yelling)
FFXIV - A dark knight who thinks it's hilarious when you dare him to strip off his armor. Sure, love, he'll strip off his armor for you.
...After all, he was a rogue first.
