Leon was once an aspiring mage with too much talent and not enough forethought. His eagerness and constant thirst for knowledge drove him to undertake experiments, often without thinking of the consequences first. When he and his closest friend dabbled in magic to bring about immortality through lichdom, neither foolish mage expected things to go so horribly awry.

The attempt severed Leon's soul from his body, leaving what was left as a wraith, an undead creature of rage and hatred. The living burn bright to him, so unbearable that it hurts his eyes and drives him to seething solitude. It was then that he found the Order. Many of these dragons didn't have that blinding light of life at all, and for those that did it was oddly dim. Leon is no knight, but he has found solace in this place inhabited by the dead.

He no longer sees his friend, death having warped his body and mind too far for reconciliation. Leon is a changed dragon, no longer the optimistic, if ignorant, student. Now he's every bit the wraith death has made him, prone to violent outbursts of anger that could leave others dead if he's not kept in check. The Order watches over him, in equal parts to try and bring his furious soul peace and to keep others safe.
