Biography

HATCHLING BRED IN
xvhR49Y.gif?1.gif

When fodder pairs produce a facet eyed kid ;v; So I named her Morgan after Morgan Le Fay because it was inkeeping with her Dad being named Merlin and Arthurian Legend etc etc cx
Merlin's minder and a qualified Aide, Morgan takes pride in doing her job well. She also takes pride in her appearance, having earned enough to obtain the illusive stolen gene change scrolls Cyan had on special one day. Morgan has compassion by the bucketloads, so she's not entirely sure why her senile father named her after an 'evil fairy who loved him once but then spurned him after'. She expects he meant her mother, Slate, who had a brief fling with him and then left for her home in the Ruins. Morgan is perhaps the most patient when it comes to Merlin's ramblings since she's put up with them her whole life. She visits her mother when she's not busy looking after her father and any other elderly member of TLoMR. This is a VERY rare occurrence. The incense she carries is meant to help soothe her father when he goes off on one of his rants.

Morgan le Fay (/ˈmɔːrɡən lə ˈfeɪ/, meaning "Morgan the Fairy"), alternatively known as Morgana, Morganna, Morgain, Morgaine, Morgane, Morgen, Morgue among other names and spellings, is a powerful enchantress in the Arthurian legend. Early appearances of Morgan do not elaborate her character beyond her role as either a goddess, a fay or a sorceress, generally benevolent and related to King Arthur as his magical savior and protector. She became more important and morally ambivalent in other texts, in particular in cyclical prose such as the Lancelot-Grail and the Post-Vulgate Cycle, wherein she turns into a counter hero in a range of roles, including that of the antagonist in some tales. A significant aspect recurring in many of Morgan's medieval and later iterations is the unpredictable duality of her nature, with the potential for good as well as evil.

Her character may have been partially derived from Welsh mythology and other earlier myths and local history. The earliest account, by Geoffrey of Monmouth in Vita Merlini, refers to Morgan in conjunction with the Isle of Apples (Avalon), to which a fatally wounded Arthur is carried after the Battle of Camlann. There, and in the early chivalric romances by Chrétien de Troyes and others, she figures as a great healer, gradually having been associated with Arthur as his supernatural elder sister.

In the following versions from the French prose and works inspired by them, among them Thomas Malory's influential Le Morte d'Arthur, she is usually established as the youngest daughter of Arthur's mother, Igraine, and her first husband, Gorlois. Arthur, who is the son of Igraine and Uther, is Morgan's half-brother; Mordred's mother Morgause is one of her sisters. Morgan unhappily marries Urien with whom she has a son, Ywain. She becomes an apprentice of Merlin, and a vindictive adversary of some knights of the Round Table, having a special hatred for Arthur's wife Guinevere. In this tradition, Morgan is also sexually active and even predatory, taking numerous lovers that may include Merlin and Accolon, with an unrequited love for Lancelot. In some variants, including the popular retelling by Malory, Morgan is the greatest enemy of Arthur, scheming to usurp his throne, indirectly becoming an instrument of his death; however, she eventually reconciles with her brother, and retains her original role of taking Arthur on his final journey to Avalon.
Many other medieval and Renaissance works feature continuations of her tale after this point, as she becomes an immortal queen of Avalon even within otherwise non-Arthurian stories, sometimes alongside Arthur. After a period of being largely absent from modern culture, Morgan's character became very prominent during the 20th and 21st centuries, appearing in a wide variety of roles and portrayals.
