 Her Past
~The Storm~
Her egg was laid, during a tremendously bad thunderstorm that rolled through the forest. The winds howled their terrible songs. Chilling, even the most stead fast dragons in the clan to the bone. That was also the night her family's nest was almost ruined. If it wasn't for the efforts of another nearby couple. Who had recently lost some of their clutch to the storms earlier on. One egg had gotten loss, but was quickly brought back inside. Safe and sound. However the parents were still filled with worry at losing their eggs, they were given knowing looks from the other couple and told that help was just a few inches away. At those words, the couple was alone yet again with their three eggs. All three having special qualities. One has already hatched and the hatchling was sound asleep, the sound of the storm. Was a sort of lullaby for him.The other two, made no noises. Or so they thought.
~Hatchday~
The room started to feel a bit chilly and one of the eggs, started to glow a soft blue. Not a cyan that they were used to from the other. But a blue, so light. That it made the egg look like ice. When the light faded, they could see tiny cracks in the egg. As the eggs shell wore away, a tiny little sky dancer pops its head out. Squeaking at its parents, it finally is free from the remaining pieces of egg. Slowly wobbling towards its mother, it is lifted up with gentle claws. "it is nice to meet you young one, it seems we have a little girl from our clutch dear." Stormy said to her mate Frost. "She seems best built for a life in an ice flight clan. Should we send her with her brother when they are of age to the program?" Frost replies with a chuckle "I suppose so, seems our children are destined to bring a little nature to other clans. I wonder what the last egg will be like."
~Chance Encounter~
Months later, her brother had been adopted by a lightening flight days before. While she still waited to find her place, unsure of when it would be. She became quite sad and seemed down. Her younger brother had finally hatched, after what seemed like years (only a day) after she hatched. But she didn't feel like playing today. The clan had no plans to go out today, so there was no chance she could go anywhere today. Its not that she didn't enjoy the clan, but it was far too secluded for her taste. She wanted freedom and fresh air, winter was soon approaching and she couldn't wait. Suddenly she heard Delg chiming the bells, notifying the clan. Someone has passed the archway towards the entrance and seemed to be lost. Curious she runs up to the bells area and sees a gorgeous white sky dancer gracefully walking towards the clans leader Ellesmera. They exchanged words and it seemed the leader didn't let anyone know she was visiting (or forgot) Alageasia his mate was quietly listening to the chatter, after awhile she looked at the little ones hiding spot. "you can come out now Tempest, the stranger is here for you" She slowly emerges and the sky dancer stops talking and smiles. "Hello there small one, my name is Fox glove." Still smiling she lowers herself to the hatchlings level. "I came here, because your leader had said no one asked you to join at the clans last visit to the flight exchange event. So I personally came here to ask you to join us, we would love to have you. You would be learning mostly from me about the clan, but when we arrive at the clan. I will introduce you to everyone there." She thinks for a moment and looks towards her parents who were making their way towards her. Her mother smiles "see dear,I knew someone would come to take you home with them. Patience is all you needed. Your father and I are fine if you join them, just don't forget to write us." With her parents blessing, she agrees to the proposal to join the clan. Hugging her parents, she leaves with Foxglove to begin the journey back to her new clan. Smiling the whole way back, Tempest has finally found a place she feels like she belongs.
