Infestation hounds only ever bond with masters with a worldview as toxic as their own flesh.

Before you can get a word in edgeways, such as, oh, you don't know, introducing yourself, he's already rambling about how unfair it is that Roneas can only have one mate. Surely a nestmother should have more than one suitor for maximum... production. It's just not fair! You don't really know what to do other than nod along understandingly. Suddenly, he fixes his gaze on you and asks you if you know her. Caught offguard, you stammer, and he cuts you off before you get a chance to respond. He asks you if you could possibly put in a good word for him? A favour for a friend, you know.

He then goes on to complain about how none of the other dragons in the lair can truly connect to him, and that he is far too intelligent to relate to them. He's just misunderstood constantly! And even though he's so nice to the females of the clan, they never return the favour. How ungrateful of them. It disgusts him.

You can't take any more of this. Slowly, you take some steps backwards. He doesn't seem to notice. You gain more and more distance, until you finally turn and flee. As you quickly retreat, you can still hear him going off. You thought that that wildclaw was bad, but this dragon is a whole new level of insufferable.
