B I O G R A P H Y

______ Icy blue wings fringed with black feathers flutter, announcing the presence of the assassin. Her wingbeats are almost silent, her landing even quieter. Black scales twinkle with starlit patterns as she moves, red Ghost markings pulsing gently in time with her mark's heartbeat. She creeps forward, unsheathing black claws from the gauntlets that rarely leave her hands. Her mark's head snaps up at the sound of another dragon flying past, but settles down when he recognizes them. The assassin pauses, waits until he relaxes, then strikes. His death is swift, near-painless, as claws enter the base of his skull and sever the cord of nerves there.

______ Cassandra came to the clan after the Insidious proved themselves to be too tricky to track for the current members of the clan. Jormungandr could follow them for as long as they remained in the Southern Icefield, but barely, and he was incapable of leading anyone more suited for combat to the Insidious quickly enough to catch up. Klaeod's grievances on the subject reached the ears of Edme, who quietly suggested a pair of assassins that she knew were currently based in the Southern Icefield. Jormungandr was redirected, and before he had even returned, the infamous Raven Queen and her deathly knight had slipped into Klaeod's lair to discuss their terms.

______ Cassandra, more commonly known as the Raven Queen, is an assassin of great skill. She proved herself to the clan by hunting down the Insidious, slaying Cohen in seconds, and returning his horn to Klaeod as proof. She was not detected, and his body was discovered in the morning - much to the outrage of the Insidious. Valence, her partner, consort, and knight, assists her in all endeavors, and is nearly as skilled as she is. He is far more durable and can withstand direct combat, making up for the fact that he is considerably less sneaky than her, but either of them can vanish into the shadows at a moment's notice.

______ The crown Cassandra wears remains on her head at all times, but the mask does not. Her scales are actually a light blue color, like her brother Klossowski's, but when she dons the Mask of the Raven Queen, they darken to black and patterns of the night sky illuminate across her. Valence is much the same; he is usually dark red but blends into the night when he places the crown of the Raven Queen's Prince Consort on his head. The bladed gauntlets rarely leave them, and while Cassandra's pearl has been glimpsed, no one can actually confirm that she keeps it anywhere in particular. The only sure thing is that she does not typically carry it with her - it is large, clunky, brightly colored, and far too fragile to take on missions or into combat.

______ In the privacy of her lair, whether that be her actual home or the lodgings in the Shifting Expanse provided by the clan, Cassandra is far less professional and almost always draped over Valence, or vice versa. She's never really ever nice, although Klossowski and Valence both insist that she can be. She is far from rude, however, typically coming across as professional and frosty to anyone who attempts to speak to her. She speaks little of her personal life, and refuses to say a word about her life before her job as an assassin. One would have more luck speaking to Klossowski - who will say nothing other than that their tale is a tragic one.
